Joseph Houpert & Norm Chambers
7″ Vinyl
June 22,2014

Norm Chambers has carved a name for himself in this crazy world via his well known Panabrite project, at times even channeling obscure favorite State River Widening. Here he brings more of that signature production quality, melody lines that remind the listener the horizon is but a mirage. Joseph Houpert has stepped out from his various monikers and groups (Prayer, Loud & Sad, Tilth) to establish his sound as a solo musician. Having watched Joe play music for well over a decade now it is thrilling to hear what is done when he stamps his own name on the track…reminders of the countryside…the crushing mania of his urban environments…swatting at the dust in the light.

Part of the Line Drawings project…
An effort to highlight the cruciality of collaboration and community. A series of five 7” records, wherein each of the four core members open this sonic dialog up to additional musicians of their choosing: Olli Aarni, Norm Chambers, Anne Guthrie, Mary Lattimore, Brad Rose, and Chris Koelle. The result is an exciting and varied survey of purposeful sound. A co-release between FET Press & Desire Path Recordings, editions of 100 on black vinyl.
